He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Claude Vivian Simmons and Marguerite Broadwell Simmons; his sister Patricia Chadwell; his wife Georgiana Simmons; his children, Sharon Simmons, William Simmons Jr. and Ruffin Simmons (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Madeline Alexander (Kevin), Matthew Brown, Abigail Simmons, Isabella Simmons, Lauren Simmons, Alexandra Richardson (Jake), Kyle Simmons and Lillian Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Wesley Richardson and Lavender Richardson.
