He was predeceased by : his father Kenneth Leroy Kern. He is survived by : his wife Stephanie Kern; his mother Mary Louise Bens Knott; his children, Rachel Kern (Bryan White), Kelsey Kern (Kim Brown), Brandon Kern (Nancy), Austin Emerson (Casey), Kayla Emerson (Darrell Haslacker) and Olivia Emerson (Hayden Whitley); his grandchildren, Skylar Swayzee (Parker Massengill), Weston White, Brandon Kern Jr., Hunter Kern, Ava Kern, Aubrey Kern, Teagan Emerson, Maya Emerson and Talon Emerson; his great grandchild Tatum Massengill; and his siblings, Kathy Warfield, Ken Kern II (Linda), Kimberly Anderson, Krissy Schultz, Karla Boss (Ed), Karen Voellinger (John), Keith Kern (Frannie), Kelly Kern, Klaudine Radford, Kyle Kern (Pam) and Kerry Knott (Alisha). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
