We announce the death of Mildred Irene Gochenour of Maurertown, Virginia, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 83. Mildred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmert Lee and Elinor Campbell Owens Gochenour; her close friend Clyde Richard Cooley; and her brother Vernon Lee Gochenour. She is survived by: her nephews, Jason Gochenour (Jennifer Nicole Gochenour), David Gochenour and Emmert Gochenour; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jacob, Noah Gochenour, Jenelle Gochenour, Angel Stancil and Brittany Carver; and her sister-in-law Linda Gochenour.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Valley Pike Church of the Brethren (83 Headley Rd, Maurertown, VA 22644). Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the same location.
