He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walter Porter and Myrtle Ann Shepherd; his wife Barbara Ann Porter; and his siblings, Anise Harman, Evelyn Graham and Harold Porter.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Hubbard (R. D. Wilson), Joyce Owen (Jerry) and Bradford "Brad" Porter (Katy); his grandchildren, Kim Moss (Arek), Sarah Baker (Jym), Chad Owen (LeighAnn), Stephen Owen (Samantha), Molly Lawson (Adam) and Greg Porter; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Adian Moss, Trey, Grace Ann Baker and Madelyn Owen; his niece Ann Schaffer (Rick); and his cousin Chuck Hamm (Shirley Brown). He is also survived by relatives and numerous friends.
