He is survived by: his children, Charles "Chuck" McNerlin (Heather), Austin Sims, Lisa Calloway (Jimmy), Lynn Hollingsworth (Phil), Jeannie Sims, Leslie Sims, Hannah Sims and Conner Workman; and his grandchildren, Billy, Jessie, Sonya, Allie, Eric, Jordyn, Halie, Kyle, Alex and Arizona. He is also survived by 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lindsey Funeral Home (219 N Main St, Rural Retreat, VA 24368). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
