With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew Jason Edmonds of Max Meadows, Virginia, who passed away on May 3, 2026 at the age of 51. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandmother Virginia P. Warden; and his uncle Stuart Warden. He is survived by: his wife Casey Lynn Ratcliffe Edmonds of Max Meadows; his children, Lexianah (Tyler Crigger) of Max Meadows, Lane (Amanda Edmonds), Luke (Haley Edmonds), Logan (Samantha Edmonds), Landon (Brooke Edmonds) and Larson Edmonds of Max Meadows; his grandchildren, KaeLynn Edmonds, Kinsley Edmonds, Kylee Edmonds, Jack Edmonds, Elvie Edmonds and Crew Edmonds; his parents, Johnny Edmonds and Becky Edmonds of Max Meadows; his sister Rebekah; his siblings-in-law, Aaron Robinson of Wytheville, Heather and Brad Hughes of Max Meadows; his brothers, Jared (Robin Edmonds) and John Daniel (Rachel Edmonds); his aunt Joan Warden of Max Meadows; his parents-in-law, Henry and Erna Ratcliffe Sr. of Max Meadows; and his brother-in-law Henry (Sarah Ratcliffe Jr.) of Pulaski. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church (1705 Peppers Ferry Rd, Wytheville, VA 24382). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at the West End Cemetery West Lee.
