Nancy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Nancy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Nancy will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Dessie Jane Peak Moore; her husband Kenneth Edward Scott; and her siblings, Ed Smith, Charlie Moore and Maxine Waller.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth B. Scott (Terena Scott), Nathan Andew Wilson and Sarah Elizabeth Austin (Charles); and her sisters, Juanita Stroupe and Matilda Astin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Locust Hill United Methodist Church (143 Lick Mountain Trail, Max Meadows, VA 24360). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at the Huddle Cemetery (1715 Huddle Rd, Wytheville, VA 24360).
