He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Vanover and Dorothy Stiltner (Harrison). He is survived by: his children, James Dean Vanover of Maxie, VA, Mark White (Rachel) of Grundy, VA, Natasha Mayhorn (Sammy) of Harman, VA and Ashlee Vanover of Cartersville, GA; his grandchildren, Savannah Wingrove (Chris), Matthew Mayhorn (Paige Perkins), Gage Ball, Jordan Ball, Landon Sykes, London Sykes, Serenity White and Jaxon Edwards; his great grandchild Violet Mayhorn; and his siblings, Jerry Vanover, Terry Vanover, Steve Harrison (Cynthia) and Nancy McClanahan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
