He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Leavy and Lillian Leavy. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Mary Leavy of Orlando, FL, Ellen Painter (Bill) of McGaheysville, VA and Walter Leavy, Jr. (Jill) of Ashburn, VA; his brother Edward Leavy of Shelton, CT; and his grandchildren, Cassandra Bentley, Chris Painter (Jayne), Walter Leavy III, Dalen Leavy and Cameron Turner. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
