Hines and Lutie-Mae Artis; her siblings-in-law, Beverly Gurley, Barbara Mayfield, Esther Faulcon (James), Mattie Ryals (James), Frank Mayfield (Carolyn), Lewis Clanton (Charlene), James Clanton (Christine), Daniel Clanton (Cynthia), Darnell Clanton, Melvin Chavis (Valerie) and Eric Chavis; her children, Vonda K. Mayfield-Carr (Tony), Kenneth R. Mayfield, David Clanton (Gloria) of Yonkers, NY, Anjanette Chavis (George), Tonie Clanton, Gwendolyn Muhammad (Trevor), Abril Clanton, Alexis Forster and Savana Forster; her stepgrandchildren, Casey, Cassie Bermudez, Natasha Spratley and Keichelle Anderson (Joshua); her cousins, Emily Morring (Willie), Marvin Hobbs (Linda), Ann Freeman-Clinkscales and Marian Goode Turner; her friends, Florine Green, Shirley Parham, Christine Easter, Barbara Mayfield, Alice Givings and Joyce Hines; and her cousin Jewel Green. She is also survived by other friends; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Petersburg Chapel (530 S Sycamore St, Petersburg, VA 23803). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Home Going Celebration.
