It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Joshua Miles of McKenney, Virginia, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Irma Miles and Joshua Miles; his siblings, Elliott, Milton, Daniel Miles, Maggie, Carrie, Iva Miles and Vernell Bradby; and his goddaughter Rakia Baker.

He is survived by : his wife Sherry Johnson Miles; his daughter Felicia; his son-in-law Bryant Wyatt; his godson Devante "DJ" Johnson; his sister Louise Tabb; his siblings-in-law, Gayle Johnson (Willie "Dickie" Dickerson), Clyde "Geno" Johnson and Victor "Billy" Johnson (Vendola); and his friends, Anthony Miles, Harley Cannada and Jean Charity. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Baptist Church (8131 Roxbury Rd, Charles City, VA 23030).
