With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip D. Bowen (McKenney, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Philip may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Philip touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Bowen and Aaron S. Bowen; and his brother John Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Burton Bowen; his sister Angela Bowen Duncan (Benny Banty); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Bowen, Karen Bartkiewicz and Joseph Burton (Mala). He is also survived by 3 nieces, 4 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dinwiddie Animal Shelter in honor of his love for all animals.
