Gilliam of Waverly and Terri Ellis Phelps (Kent) of Petersburg; her daughter-in-law Amanda Gilliam of Waverly; her siblings, Calvin Dillard (Rachel), James A. Dillard (Elaine) of Stony Creek, Ray Dillard (Cheryl) of Petersburg, Wanda Patterson of Petersburg, Melba Mason of Skippers, Pennie Brown of Emporia, Valencia Tull (Roderick) of Jarratt, Edith Smith (Andre) of Petersburg, Rhonda Dillard and Fantazia Dillard of North Carolina; her aunts, Lelia Jones (Howard) of Yale and Doris Carter of Richmond; and her friends, Wilsie Taylor, Katherine Taylor, Mary Parham, Audrey Brown, Sammy Thweatt, Mae Mills and Linda Brooks. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
