She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Charles Franklin, Jr.. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Charles J. Franklin, Michelle Franklin and Shari Smith; her nephew Kirke Herman, Jr. (Teresa); and her cousins, Bernard Broadus (Moncenya), Robin Broadus Iwuoha, Lori Hendricks and Darryl Hendricks. She is also survived by twenty Godchildren, friends.
