She is survived by: her children, Emmy Nadiga and Palmer Newcombe Stearns, III (Amy); her grandchildren, Tara Nadiga, Jayant Nadiga, Samant Nadiga, Jacob Stearns and Lucas Stearns; and her brother Larry Flint (Marti).

She lovingly knitted for her family and regularly crafted infant hats to donate to local hospitals.
