He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Sr. and Stephanie; his brother Robert; his former life partner Bridget; and his son-in-law Joel Pulliam.

He is survived by : his wife Rena Brendes; and his children, Michael (Susan), Stephen (Ketty), Patrick (Lynn) and Ann Farrell Pulliam. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
