He was predeceased by: his parents, Sandy Samuel and Thelma Steadham Shelor; and his sister Janet Shelor Martin. He is survived by: his children, Sammy Shelor (Jordyn) and Leslie Shelor; and his grandsons, Samuel Ellis Shelor and Matthew River Shelor. He is also survived by three nephews and two nieces and numerous cousins.
