With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Patrick Havard of Meadows of Dan, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 4, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marilyn Busic Havard and James E. Havard; and his brother Michael J. Havard. He is survived by: his wife Rita Murphy; his son Liam Havard of Meadows; his brother Chris Havard (Lois) of Princeton, NJ; his siblings-in-law, Thomas J. Murphy of Plymouth, MA and Judith Havard (Michael) of New Canaan, CT; his nephews, Samuel, Henry, Cole and Jack (Elizabeth); his niece Taylor Havard (Havard); Shannon Lytton, Teresa Bailey, Mary Lee Gill, Todd Triplett, Sudha Wilburn, Mark Bowman (Rita) and Liam.
In place of flowers, donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice of Roanoke, Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary of Floyd, or New Skete Monastery of New York.
