He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Wingfield Burke and Arlene Anderson Burke; and his siblings, Joy Amos, Carrie Keys, Jean Jesse, Faye Burnett, Russ Burke, Roy Burke and Mac Burke.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Barr Burke; his children, Missy Salyer of Bristol, Marian Combs of Abingdon, Keith Burke (Anita) of Bristol and John Jones (Crystal) of Daleville; his sisters, B. J. Bare, Rene Hudson, Polly Green and Mona Wykle; and his grandsons, Dustin Salyers, Dale Fleenor, Jacob Jones and Jared Jones. He is also survived by three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
