Patty Blevins Obituary
We bid farewell to Patty Blevins of Meadowview, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 14, 2025 at the age of 86. Patty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Dayton Turnmire and Ruth Lee Gentry Turnmire; her husband Jacob Dallas "J. D." Blevins, Sr.; her son Jacob Dallas "Butch" Blevins, Jr.; and her siblings, Mae Widener, Betty Beeler, Everette Turnmire, Bud Turnmire and Gary Turnmire.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Blevins of Meadowview, VA and James Blevins (Jennifer) of Damascus, VA; her daughter-in-law Lori Blevins of Bristol, TN; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Blevins, B. J. Blevins, Justin Blevins (Cassie), Sam Blevins (Beth), Abby Almany (Austin) and Ally Blevins (Boone Thomas); and her close friends, Wanda Salyers, Eula Helton, Dan and Ann Ramsey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (306 E Laurel Ave, Damascus, VA 24236). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park (21674 Monroe Rd, Damascus, VA 24236).
