He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Coleman and Jim Coleman; and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Hicks and Jimmy Hiner. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Smith Coleman (Cely); his children, James E. Coleman, IV (Stacy) and Brooke Coleman Wick (Cameron); his grandchildren, Coleman, Ellie and Jack Wick; and his sisters, Catherine Hicks and Ann Hiner.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Historic Polegreen Church (6411 Heatherwood Dr, Mechanicsville, VA 23116).
