James W. Rader Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James W. Rader (Mechanicsville, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Jamie Rader; his former wife Kim Rader; his son-in-law G. Kelly Dixon; his nephew Jeff Phipps; and his parents, Mary Ruth Rader and Olen "Mutt" Rader.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Laura Rader-Dixon, Jeff Rader (Heather) and Curtis Bradby (Patricia); his sisters, Carolyn Phipps (Larry), Martha Phillips (Henry) and Janet Ellis (Jon); and his grandchildren, Gavin Dixon, Owen Dixon, Katharine Jarrell and Ashley Jarrell. He is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
