He is survived by: his wife Grendolyn Wyatt Johnson; his children, Joyce Dunbar (Roy), Marcia Williams and Phillip Johnson (Margaret); his brothers, Maurice and Michael Thomas; his nephew Earl Layell; and his friends, Willie Walker of Delaware and Spurgean Watson of North Carolina. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces.
