He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Wagner and Grace Wagner; and his siblings, Pauline Duncan, Edith Arnold, E. T. Wagner Jr., Robert Wagner, Glenn Wagner and Earl Wagner.
He is survived by: his wife Laurie Bew Wagner; his son John A. Wagner, Jr. (Beth); his grandchildren, Jewel and Hayli (Trey Karnes); his daughter Nicole Pressnell (Rick); his grandchildren, Mackenzie (Caleb Greene), Calob and Maybree; his great grandchild Thomas Bourne (Amy); his grandsons, Walker, Preston (Taylor) and Jason; his brother Donald (Jeanette); his sisters-in-law, Laverna, Lois and Margurite; and his close friend Jimmy Bender. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Black Creek Baptist Church (6289 McClellan Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
