He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry and Inez Fuller McGhee; his former wife Linda McGhee; his son Richard M. McGhee, Jr.; and his sister Renva Carver (Earl).
He is survived by: his wife Lori; his children, Ricky (Courtney), Scott (Texie), Daniel, Vicki McGhee (Brian Voegel), John Worley, Megan Andrews (Eric), Melanie Kallman (Isak) and Becky Norman (Will); and his siblings, Lu Lord (Buddy), Duke (Nita) and Toni Liskie (Dick). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (8005 Atlee Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111).
