He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Temple and Laura Temple; his siblings, Preston Temple, Arthur Temple, Thelma Wagner, Louise Rickman and Helen Rickman; and his son Richard L. Temple.

He is survived by: his children, Gordon E. Temple (Maria) of Yuma, AZ and Amy L. Temple; and his grandchildren, Rebekah L. Temple, Robyn McNabola (Liam) of Sunderland, England, Louise E. Temple and Robert J. Temple.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairfield Presbyterian Church 6930 Cold Harbor Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111.
