He was predeceased by: his father Devane T. Simmons, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Simmons; his children, Matthew Simmons and Sarah Loveless (Jason); his grandchildren, Kaden, Rylan, Malea Loveless, Vivian and Maeve Simmons; his mother Barbara Simmons; and his sisters, Nancy Piepho (Lenny) and Suzanne Thomas (Scott). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to one of two organizations.
