Bettie Jane Mears Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bettie Jane Mears of Melfa, Virginia, who passed away on May 17, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Bettie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bettie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carlton "Laddie" Mears, Sr. and Marie Frances Taylor Miller; and her stepfather Bill Miller. She is survived by: her siblings, Frances Reece (Art) of Hamilton, OH, Billy Miller (Chris) of Franklinton, NC and Mark Lewis Miller of Melfa, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
