He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sheppard; his children, Angela Sheppard, Lisa Sheppard, Melvin O'Brian Sheppard, Latonya Justice and Maurice Parker; his siblings, Christine Ayres, David Sheppard and Clyde Sheppard (Clara); his grandchildren, Steven Kilgore, Christopher Kilgore, Kenneth Rayfield, Jr., Brittany Capers, Breon Capers, Jaila Justice, Xavier Sheppard, Shar and Burrell; his great grandchildren, Skylar Kellam, CJ Kilgore, MaLani Rayfield, Christen Capers, Jayda Collins, Jalen Collins, Jhordan Waters, Javelin Waters, McKenna Burton, Lakai Burton, Caleb Burton, Gabriel Cartwright, Aubrey Cartwright and Chase Cartwright; his great great grandchildren, Cali Scar and Jalen Collins, Jr.; his in-laws, Grace Knox (Michael), Jean Mapp and Lewis Burton; and his close friends, Danny Campbell, Tyrone "Big Bill" Davis, Thomas Lee Harmon and Cornelius Townsend.
