He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Allen and Shirby Blackwell Carey; his grandparents, Rudolph, Annie Carey, Alvin and Margaret Blackwell; his grandmother-in-law Russell Hewitt; his in-laws, Frankie and Rosa Whitesell; his close friend Ralph Eastwood; and his grandson Mason.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Lee Carey (Trisha Renae Jordan) of Middlebrook and Hannah Carey Sipe (Codie Malcolm Sipe) of Waynesboro; the mother of his children Lisa Whitesell Hanger; his brother Trent Allen Carey of Raphine; his siblings-in-law, Rose Marie Lakatos, Frankie Lee and Brandon Whitesell; his close friends, Timothy Saben, Tiki Gibson and Tammy Hostetter; and his pet Princess Maya.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Augusta Memorial Park (1775 Old Goose Crk Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
