He is survived by: his children, Lillian Jean Thomas of Strasburg, Virginia, Betty Kay Strother of Strasburg, Virginia, Terry Warner of Strasburg, Virginia and Lawrence Strother of North Charleston; and his sisters, Cindy Newman Williams of Fredericksburg and Rebecca Finley of Winchester, Virginia..
