She was predeceased by : her parents, Lawrence Dale and Margaret Dale; her husband Richard V. Thomas; and her sister Janie Dale of Arlington, VA.. She is survived by : her daughters, Katie Harrison (Steve) of Cross Junction, VA, Susannah Cleland (Scott) of Portland, OR, Maggie Thomas of Winchester, VA and Rachel Thomas (Cody Sickler) of Portland, OR; her grandchildren, Reilly, Caroline, Maddie, Kirsten, Halley, Nick, Abby and June; her great grandchild Tommy; and her siblings, Margaret "Sissie" Lewis (Tim) of Falls Church and L. T. Dale (Suzanne) of Lovettesville, VA..
