He is survived by : his wife Mary Lou; his daughter Kathy Vanderwijst (John) of Middletown, VA; his grandchildren, Jordan Miles (Trinidy) of Falling Waters, WV, Andrew Miles of Front Royal, VA, Will Miles of Stephens City, VA, Kelsie LeRose (Josh) of Martinsburg, WV and Tyler Vanderwijst of Falling Water, WV; his great grandchildren, Camden Miles of Front Royal, VA, Bennett Miles of Falling Waters, WV, Hayes Miles of Falling Waters, WV and McKenna LeRose of Martinsburg, WV; and his sister Mariam Smith of Winston-Salem, NC..

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25th 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amherst Chapel (1600 Amherst St, Winchester, VA 22601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
