He was predeceased by : his father James Yates; and his siblings, James Yates, Chester Yates, Frank Yates, Louis Yates, Richard Yates, Louise Jordan, Peggy Parker and Carol Davis.
He is survived by : his wife Sarah Grimm; his son Marcus Yates; his grandchildren, Carley, Jaliya, Layla and Jaylen; his siblings, Roy Yates of Midland, VA, Helen Robinson of Midland, VA and Silver DeShong of Bealeton, VA.; and his siblings-in-law, Pamela Williams, Shiela Jones and Anthony Grimm. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
