He is survived by: his wife Lucy Nichols of Midlothian, Virginia; his daughter Nan Tomlinson (Jamie) of Powhatan, Virginia; his granddaughter Beth Tomlinson; and his brother Joseph Pryor Nichols of Halifax, Virginia..
