He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Leroy and Mary Helen Scott Thompson; his wife Joanne S. Libby; his siblings, Leroy Thompson (Rebecca), Tommy Thompson and Mildred Thompson; his stepson Charles Libby; his stepson-in-law Paul Conley; and his stepgranddaughter Nicole Conley.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda T. Bradley (David), Barbara T. Mannon (Lester), Vicki T. Drumm, William Thompson (Kathy), Scott F. Thompson (Melissa) and Terry L. Thompson; his brother Charles Thompson (Roni); his sister-in-law P. K. Thompson; his stepchildren, Robin L. Dayton (Kent), Brigette L. Conley, Chris W. Libby (Ann) and Carol Cunningham; and his caregiver Dasha Pearce. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren.
