He is survived by: his wife Joan Horst; his daughters, Debbie Leist (Steve), Melinda Mulkey (Mike) and Jennifer Smith (Tim); his grandchildren, Kyrie Mulkey (Tim), Ethan Mulkey, Kiersten Mulkey, Michael Mulkey, Sarah Smith (Noah) and Jesse Smith; his great grandchildren, Luke Carter, Odin Carter, Levi Gebo and Christopher Rowland; and his sisters, Manda Gravley (Rick) and Elsie Paulette (Kenny).
A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hillsman-HIX Funeral Home and Cremation Service (16409 Court St, Amelia Court House, VA 23002). A burial was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery (16401 Dunn Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002).
