She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Chrystor Atkinson and Bettie Mae Hallett (Watkins); her siblings, Anna Spruill of Naomi Skinner, T. C and Atkinson, Jr.; and her niece Jennifer Hudson.
She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Swelnis; and her sister Bettie Telepo. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, including their children.
