She was predeceased by: her parents, Noel Altman and Evelyn Altman; her husband John Edward Newman; and her brother Michael Altman. She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Clarke; her children, John Newman (Eddie) and Gwen Wakefield; her son-in-law Randy Wakefield; and her grandchildren, Nathan Wakefield and Sarah Paige Wakefield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
