James Hastings Jr. Obituary

He was predeceased by: his father James Hastings Sr.; and his stepfather Thomas Spaulding. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Owen Spaulding; his wife Lisa Jinks Hastings; his children, James, Jaimi, Eric, Angela (Justin) and Joseph (Danielle); his grandchildren, Nathan, Savannah and Jaxsun; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Amayiah; and his siblings, Bobby, Danny, Aimee and Lynne.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Batten Funeral Home (12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Holly Memorial Gardens (3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22911).
