We bid farewell to Mary Jane McCaferty (Midlothian, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 29, 2025 at the age of 99. Mary Jane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband William G. McCaferty; her brothers, John Gates (Martha), Carl Gates (Jean) and Tom (Sandra); and her parents, Joseph Logan Gates and Ethel Fritchey.
She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Simon (Ray); her grandson Greg Simon (Jenny); her great grandchild Paige Simon; her son James McCaferty (Rose); her granddaughter Megan Granger (Cameron); her great grandchildren, Solstice Granger and Kaladin Granger; her grandson Joel McCaferty; and her sisters, Dorothy Brouse and Helen Lightner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
