He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Carpenter and Mary Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Gay-Lynn Carpenter; his sons, Taylor and Jared Carpenter (Alexis); his grandson Colin Carpenter; and his siblings, Scott (Betty), Roland Carpenter (Monica) and Pam Roberts (Neal). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
