He was predeceased by: his parents, Ryland Roberts Rainey and Dorothy Cooley Rainey; his sister Dr. Patsy Rainey Joyner; and his brother-in-law William Thomas Joyner, III (Tommy). He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Wes (Denise) and Shannon (Rob); his grandchildren, Peyton, Presley, Ashton, Addie and Bryce; his niece Pattie (Tommy); his brother-in-law H. L. (Melissa); and his close friend Riley. He is also survived by niece, nephew, great nieces, great nephew, aunt, cousins.
