We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2025, at the age of 80, Ruth Arlene Burney in Midlothian, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Clay and Ruth Lena Tucker; and her brothers, James Tucker, Ernest Tucker, Herman Tucker, Theodore Tucker, John Tucker and Earl Tucker.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence E. Burney; and her cousin Clarence. She is also survived by six siblings, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Spring Creek Baptist Church (5130 Woolridge Rd, Moseley, VA 23120). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
