He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Dawson and Elsa Dawson; and his son Thomas Dawson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Willett Dawson; his children, Patty (Keith), Laura (Tom), Julia (Jim), Sue (Gregg), John (Melanie) and Christy (Doug); his daughter-in-law Laurie; his grandchildren, Derek, Corey (Nicole), Kristin (John), Tommy, Krista (Greg), Kathleen (Spencer), Billy, Ellen, Charlotte (Chris), Kyle (Rachel), Kelsey, Jake, Michael, Emily Tommy (Austin), Grady, Sarah and Henry; his great grandchildren, Luke, Henry, Greg, Rory, Dawson, Aiden, Charlie and Claire; and his siblings, Bob (Judy) and Cheryl.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Manakin Episcopal Church (985 Huguenot Trail, Midlothian, VA 23113).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Thomas Dawson's memory to Manakin Episcopal Church.
