He was predeceased by: his father Willard Dabney Sr.; his caregiver Lou Marion Dabney; his brother Reverend Wayne Dorsey Dabney; and his wife Patricia Weaver Dabney. He is survived by: his children, Anikwa Dabney-Turner (Aaron) of Henrico and Kimba Dabney (Marreo) of Midlothian, Virginia; his grandchildren, Zhane' (Michael), Deonte, Kemora, Darren and Maliyah; his great grandchildren, Gianna, Kingston and Myla; his nieces and nephews, Ava, Remi Dabney of New Jersey, Wayne and Khary Dabney of New Jersey; his cousins, Lester Lewis of Richmond, Elwood Lewis of Mechanicsville and Sheriff Vanessa Reese Crawford of Petersburg, Virginia.; and his friends, Benjamin Scott, Burton Hayes, Thomas Pair, Freddy Hicks, Pat Nunnelly and Reverend Earl Thompson (Thelma).
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803).
