He is survived by: his mother Sheila Fenerty of Glen Allen, Virginia; his wife Susan; his children, Nathaniel of Richmond, Elizabeth of Reston and Kirkland of Richmond, Virginia; his father Gerard Fenerty, Sr.; and his siblings, Mary Fenerty Schumann (Michael Meier) of Vienna, Masumi Hyodo Bowman (Charles) of Richmond, Virginia, Gerard Fenerty Jr. (Mary Beth) of Glastonbury and James Fenerty of Henrico, Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First English Evangelical Lutheran Church (1603 Monument Ave, Richmond, VA 23220).
