We announce the death of Mary Ellen Thomas Satterwhite of Milford, Virginia, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 86. Mary Ellen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Phillip Satterwhite; her parents, Woodrow Thomas and Mary Thomas; and her siblings, Sue Wiener, Jimmy, Buddy and Willie Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Pee-Wee Cooper and Angie Tejada (Michael); her siblings, Liz Jenkins (Mike), Robin Wright (Vin) and Curtis Thomas; her grandchildren, Nina Peace (Matthew), Tara Farmer (Justin) and Sydney Matlock (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Emma, Gabriel and Logan; Ameila Wright (Chad) and Mary Wright (Jon). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bowling Green (17502 New Baltimore Rd, Milford, VA 22514).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caroline Animal Shelter.
