She is survived by: her children, Wanda Higgs of Bridgewater, Amy Coleman (Jeff) of Charlottesville and Garry Shanks (Jo Ann) of Millboro; her sister Elinor Cauley Fridley of Augusta Springs; and her grandchildren, Tim Poe (Tonya), Jon Higgs (Jessi), W. Higgs (Kim), Jimmy Higgs (Stephanie), Julie Wagoner (Mike), Justin Shanks (Cara), Leah Duesterhaus (Andrew) and Tyler Coleman. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and her special companion.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Windy Cove Presbyterian Church (102 Windy Cove Rd, Millboro, VA 24460). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
