With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Robert Duane Davis (Millboro, Virginia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Robert left this world on June 20, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Martz Davis (Dora Edith Burke Davis) and Sam Burke; his wife Sarah Mae Wood Davis; his children, Frank D. "Bo" Shrader and Lewanne Davis; and his brother William Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Shrader Muehleck (Jim) of Martinsville, Wes Shrader (Sharon) of Millboro and Robert D. Davis, Jr. of Millboro; and also, Nora Howell, Georgia Tennant and Sam Burke. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Camp Nimrod (134 Vineyard Farm Rd, Millboro, VA 24460).
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Millboro Area Fire and Rescue.
